Bahia Grass (g17) IgE details
Description
Bahia grass is a warm-season grass common in the Southeastern U.S. and other warm climates, and this test measures IgE antibodies specific to its pollen to check for allergic sensitization. A positive result can help explain seasonal allergy symptoms โ sneezing, nasal congestion, itchy or watery eyes โ that occur during grass pollen season, which in warm climates can extend for much of the year. It's typically included in a regional grass allergen panel rather than tested alone, since grass pollens often share enough similarity that people sensitive to one grass are frequently sensitive to several others. As with other allergen tests, a positive result indicates sensitization and is interpreted alongside your actual symptoms.
