Description
This test measures levels of ADMA (asymmetric dimethylarginine) and SDMA (symmetric dimethylarginine) in the blood, which are compounds made in your body as proteins are degraded. ADMA and SDMA are indicators that may help in assessing the risk for cardiovascular disease in individuals with multiple risk factors.

This test may be recommended for individuals who have several risk factors for cardiovascular disease, including high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity, or a family history of heart disease.
