Description

This directly measures the small, unbound portion of testosterone that's biologically active in your tissues, using a method that measures free testosterone more directly rather than calculating it from total testosterone and SHBG. It's used similarly to a calculated free testosterone result — often considered a more accurate reflection of your true androgen status than total testosterone alone, particularly when SHBG levels are abnormal and might otherwise distort the total testosterone picture.
