S. cerevisiae IgG details

Saccharomyces cerevisiae (baker's/brewer's yeast) antibodies, IgG type, are sometimes elevated in Crohn's disease and, like the IgA version, are used as part of a broader antibody panel to help distinguish Crohn's disease from ulcerative colitis when inflammatory bowel disease is being evaluated. Testing both IgA and IgG forms together generally improves detection compared to either alone, though these antibodies are supportive evidence rather than a standalone diagnostic test.
