Lyme IgG Band 23 details

Description

This is one of the individual protein bands checked on a Lyme disease confirmatory Western blot (immunoblot) test, IgG class, run after an initial antibody screen comes back positive or unclear. As with the other IgG bands, it contributes to the standard scoring criteria used to interpret the overall Western blot result, and IgG bands generally reflect a more established, longer-standing immune response to infection than IgM bands, which appear earlier.
