Description
This is a more precise, highly sensitive version of the standard estradiol test, specifically designed to accurately detect the very low estradiol levels typical in postmenopausal women, men, and children — ranges where a standard estradiol assay may not be precise enough to give a reliable number. It's used when accurately assessing low-level estrogen status matters clinically, such as monitoring aromatase inhibitor therapy in postmenopausal breast cancer treatment, or evaluating hormone status in men.
